Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first page you see after signing in to OptimiDoc Server, and it is the home of the modern web administration interface. It presents a customisable, per-user overview of your print environment through a grid of widgets — from server health and licence status to activity totals, recent jobs, quota balances and quick document actions.

How the Dashboard Works

The Dashboard is served by the OptimiDoc web interface, which is the primary administration console — the server root opens it automatically. Every widget draws live data from the server, so the figures you see reflect the current state of the system rather than a cached snapshot.

The layout is personal to each user and role-aware:

• Role-based starting layouts — administrators and regular users are given different default arrangements. Administrators open onto system-wide monitoring widgets (activity totals, server and licence status, recent jobs across all users), while regular users open onto self-service widgets (upload to print, submit a document, their own activity and jobs).

• Per-user configuration — the widgets you show, hide, resize and rearrange are saved in your browser, keyed to your user account. Changes never affect other users, and each administrator can tailor their own view.

• Feature-aware widgets — widgets that depend on an optional feature only appear when that feature is enabled. The Default Billing Code widget requires Billing Codes to be turned on, and My Quota requires Quotas. Administrator-only widgets are hidden entirely from regular users.

Default Layout

The widgets shown out of the box depend on your role. You can add, remove or rearrange any of them at any time from Dashboard Settings.

Administrators start with:

• At a Glance — counts of users, departments, devices and scan workflows

• System Activity and My Activity — print, scan and copy totals over a configurable period

• System Info — host, CPU, memory and disk usage

• License — licence status, device usage and support expiry

• Recent Jobs — the latest jobs across all users

• My Scans in OptimiDoc, Default Billing Code and Job Redirect

Regular users start with:

• Upload Print Job and Submit Document — self-service printing and scanning

• My Activity and My Recent Jobs — their own usage and job history

• My Scans in OptimiDoc — retrieve documents scanned to the personal inbox

• Default Billing Code and My Quota (when those features are enabled)
